Destiny Awaits [Destinies of Eveh]

This is the title theme for the game "Destinies of Eveh," which contains the various themes and motives found throughout other major DoE tracks.
WORLD PREMIERE of this piece ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 31 at 7:30PM in Magale Recital Hall on the campus of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. The concert is open to the public!

Stylez

This is a very short demo reel that I created that moves through various styles fairly quickly. The idea was to just create a montage, if you will, of musical styles and sounds.

Soulfire [Concert for Composers 2009]

Soulfire is a piece I composed back in 2008 for a instrumental group in Texarkana. The piece was composed to reflect upon the passion in which music is made and its mysterious nature in which it moves people. The piece was performed live at the Concert for Composers 2009 event at Texarkana College.

Technis

Techinis is a very old composition I created back in 2005 when I was first learning to use sequencers. The entire piece is based off loops that come and go as the song progresses. It is purely an experimental piece that I came like quite a bit.

Ascension to Avenor [Destinies of Eveh]

This composition portrays the main character in the video game "Destinies of Eveh" as he ascends by dragon to the floating cities of Avenor, a most beautiful home of some of the most powerful Gods in Eveh.

Journey to Another World

Journey to Another World is an older composition, composed for the Texarkana College "A Concert for Composers" back in 2009. The story follows a bold hero through his trials and tribulations where he returns home, victorious in the end.

The Adventure Begins [Destinies of Eveh]

A young man has finally reached his Knighthood and is ready to venture out into the unknown and fight whatever evil come before him...or so he thinks; this musical satire portrays this cocky young man trying to impress the ladies, prior to setting out on his conquest, as he has just reached his Knighthood.

Origins of an Evehian [Destinies of Eveh]

Origins of an Evehian is to be played during the character creation screen, prior to the game beginning. It is very easy-going and doesn't contain any melodies, it is meant to comfort the player while creating his or her character.

It ends abruptly, it is meant to loop.

Aldea del Mar [Destinies of Eveh]

"Aldea del Mar" means "Village of the Sea." This composition depicts a sea-side village in the south where Kreet warriors are often founding selling and trading goods. This composition makes use of the "Duduk," a wooden flute whose origins date back over 3,000 years ago to the native Armenian culture. It is well-known for its dark, beautiful and haunting sound.

Ruins of Ju's Crypt [Destinies of Eveh]

Ruins of Ju's Crypt is a background piece that plays when the player enters Ju's Crypt. The track is primarily electronic with the sound of a small girl singing in the background near the beginning. The girl leads the player through the crypt, to the Ancient tomb of King Ju, where he must battle an evil spirit in order to let King Ju's soul rest in peace.

Battle at Ju's Crypt [Destinies of Eveh]

Battle at Ju's Crypt is a battle track for the battle that takes place deep within King Ju's crypt, where the player must destroy the risen King Ju who has been reanimated by evil spirits. The track was never actually finished, it was lost (along with several others) in a crash while my PC was reformatting. What remains is this MP3 file that is fairly loopable without it being too awkward.

Las Montañas Bonitas

"Las Montañas Bonitas," meaning "The Beautiful Mountains," is a piece I composed in 2007 using flutes I purchased from the Andes region in South America. The deep flute in the beginning is called a Quenacho (or Kenacho, as sometimes spelled) and the pan flutes that come later are called "sikus". This piece was intended as a relaxation, perhaps even meditative piece.

Forever in Time

Forever in Time is a reflections piece I composed for piano, viola, and cello. The push and pull from the clashing of dissonant and consonant sounds creates a kind of reverie in which the listener becomes entrapped in. The piece has a melancholy ending and leaves the listern with a since of incompletion, not typical of reflection pieces, almost to suggest that not all questions come with a resolute answer.
